The Kia Optima is a medium sized car which was first introduced in the year 2000. It has been marketed internationally under multiple nameplates, one of which is Magentis which is the name used for the car in Canada and Europe. The 5th generation shares a number of similarities with the Sonata, such as its fastback style. However, its chrome strip and textured grill are distinctive. The interior has been updated to include a digital cluster which is 12.3 inches in size along with a central screen that is 10.3 inches. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also available, as well as an audio system from Bose.
The engine is four cylinders, 2.5 liter and turbocharged to produce 290 horsepower with 422 Nm worth of torque. AWD (All Wheel Drive) has also been included, which is not available in the Sonata. It has a number of cutting edge safety features such as collision avoidance, driver assistance, advanced cruise control and can monitor the attention of the driver automatically. Other features include the ability to monitor blind spots, a camera with surround view, assistance in following lanes and driving along highways.
