R & Y A/C Compressors® offers a six-month limited warranty on remanufactured parts and a one-year limited warranty on new parts.
The warranty period begins on the original date of purchase shown on the purchaser’s invoice or order confirmation.
This limited warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser and is not transferable.
For purposes of this limited warranty, “Part” means a compressor, compressor kit, compressor and condenser kit, clutch, drier/accumulator, condenser, evaporator, bearing, manifold, control valve, expansion valve/orifice tube, electric power steering pump, or electric rack and pinion purchased through www.rycompressors.com.
Warranty Eligibility
To qualify for the limited warranty, the remanufactured or new Part must be installed by one of the following:
- A certified A/C technician
- A professional mechanic
- A service station specializing in automotive air conditioning systems and/or electric power steering systems for domestic and foreign vehicles
The purchaser must provide proof that the Part was professionally installed by one of the parties listed above. The limited warranty will not apply without acceptable proof of installation.
Warranty Coverage
If the claim is approved, R & Y A/C Compressors® will, at its option, provide a replacement Part or refund the original purchase price of the covered Part.
The limited warranty does not cover labor, removal, installation, towing, refrigerant, diagnostic services, or any other related costs or expenses.
The warranty does not cover failure or damage caused by contamination, debris, insufficient lubrication, improper flushing, incorrect oil or refrigerant, improper installation, misuse, accident, or damage from another component in the system.
Conditions That Void the Limited Warranty
The limited warranty will be void under any of the following circumstances:
- The Part has been altered, modified, disassembled, or repaired.
- The Part has sustained physical damage.
- The purchaser fails to provide acceptable proof that the Part was installed by a certified A/C technician, professional mechanic, or service station specializing in automotive air conditioning systems and/or electric power steering systems.
- The Part was installed incorrectly or used in an application for which it was not intended.
How to File a Limited Warranty Claim
To file a limited warranty claim, the purchaser must notify R & Y A/C Compressors® by completing the section below titled “FILE A LIMITED WARRANTY CLAIM.”
The purchaser must upload a copy of the proof of professional installation in the required field of the claim form.
After receiving the limited warranty claim and inspecting the returned Part, R & Y A/C Compressors® will determine whether the claim qualifies for coverage under this limited warranty.
Submission of a limited warranty claim does not guarantee approval. All claims are subject to inspection and verification by R & Y A/C Compressors®.
