About Nissan
Nissan does an outstanding job of marketing its vehicles worldwide. For example, Nismo is the company’s motorsports division, which was established in 1984. Nismo vehicles have competed in multiple racing competitions, including the Super GT, World Sportscar Championship, British Touring Car Championship and the Blancpain GT Series. These events give Nissan the opportunity to showcase its automotive technology and racing prowess. However, the brand’s sponsorships aren’t limited to the racing circuit. Nissan was also a major sponsor of the L.A. Open golf tournament, appearing at the event from 1987 until 2007. By 2015, Nissan acquired naming rights for the Nissan Stadium, which is home to the Tennessee Titans and university football teams, and is also a sponsor for the prestigious Heisman Trophy.
About Nissan Sentra
The Sentra is a subcompact car which was first introduced by Nissan in 1982. However, by the year 2000, it had been reclassified as a compact vehicle. Before 2006, it was a Japanese export which was the rebadged version of the Nissan Sunny, but beginning in 2013, it was rebadged again. The name “Sentra” is not used in Japan, and in Mexico the first 3 generations were named Nissan Tsuru (which means crane in Japanese). All the Sentra models are considered entry levels cars which are second to the Altima. However, these cars have proven very successful in the USA, since price conscious consumers wanted a car that wouldn’t break the bank yet was safe and comfortable to drive, and the Sentra fit the bill perfectly.
Common Nissan Sentra A/C Problems
One owner complained that every few months they have to change the car’s mass flow air sensor because it was causing problems with their air conditioning. The owner also noted that sometimes the radio would turn on and off by itself, even when the car wasn’t on. The issue seems to occur randomly, whether they are driving or not, and even when the car shouldn’t be receiving power. Mechanics who investigated the issue believe that the battery is part of the problem and it may be draining prematurely. Additionally, the display screen on top of the panel for the A/C control will freeze periodically.
