About BMW

While BMW is famous for its cars, it has also received praise for its motorcycles. The company started producing them after the First World War, in a brand which today is known as BMW Motorrad. One of the earliest motorcycles was the R32 which used a twin boxer engine with a cylinder that projected internal airflow on both sides. This design mechanism was so effective that it remained in usage from the 1920s until the 1980s, and a few BMW motorcycles still use it, most notably the R Series. Unlike BMW cars, which are often produced outside of Germany, the entire motorcycle division is still situated within the country at the Berlin-Spandau facility.

About BMW M6

The M6 is the high end variant for the BMW 6 Series. It was first introduced in 1983 as a coupe but has also appeared as a fastback and convertible. Newer editions come with a dual clutch seven speed transmission and are powered by a V8 twin turbo engine. Those who have test driven the M6 have reported that it can accelerate from zero to sixty two miles per hour in around 4.2 seconds, and can achieve a top speed of 155 miles per hour, which is limited electronically. The car’s differential is also actuated electronically, and it has a weight of just over 4,200 pounds. The car’s front displays a revised kidney grille with the M6 badge. In 2014 BMW introduced the Competition Package, which includes an exhaust system which is sportier with stiffer springs, anti-roll bars, black tips and dampers. It offers more direct steering with slightly better acceleration times.

Common BMW M6 A/C Problems

The BMW M6 is an expensive vehicle and great care was taken in its testing and design. As such its air conditioning system is highly efficient most of the time. However, leaks can occur, which will prevent the system from working normally. Fortunately, many A/C systems use special fluid which can be seen with black light which makes it easier to identify the source of a leak and get it fixed. Recharging the BMW’s A/C system is also a simple procedure that can be accomplished at home without having to contact a technician.
