The A/C compressor is a vital unit of your car’s air conditioning system. When there is something wrong with the compressor then it pays to take a look at what is causing the problem. Prepare the A/C Compressor Manual

Secure the Vehicle First

Start by disconnecting the battery. When you do so, make sure that you also take off the accessory drive belt. Secure the vehicle by jacking it up on jack stands. It is also important to remove the car tires and all other fascia, shields and lines so that you will have better access to the compressor.

Locate Important Parts of the Compressor

One such part is the suction hose fitting which is found on the compressor. Remove the hose from this fitting. From there, you should also locate the discharge hose fitting then remove the hose from the fitting as well.

Remove Electrical Connectors

Make sure you do this with extra caution because you do not want to hurt yourself in the process. From here, you can locate all mounting bolts and remove them together with the A/C compressor mounting stud. Once you have removed this, you can easily maneuver the compressor and uninstall it accordingly.
